Deck the Halls with Bowls of Pasta

This is what was leftover after Levi finished with a full bowl of cavatelli and one HUGE meatball on Christmas Eve. Levi became a celebrity at Sorrento's and won the hearts of all. Somehow, he also managed to wake up hungry the next morning.

First Santa Visit

It was raining buckets on that Saturday, but we were determined to visit Santa. So we hopped on the train, and made the trek through soggy Union Square, and arrived soaked, but excited. Levi had fallen asleep the moment the train started moving, so I'm not sure his level of excitement was the same as ours.

We had heard how awesome the ABC Carpet and Home Santa was--who needed crazy Macy's! and from our place in line, we could see he truly was fantastic. This was the real Santa. No fake beard, garish red coat...no sir, this was Norman Rockwell Santa.

The line was shorter and went quicker than we thought though, and genius parents that we are, we decided after some deliberation to wake up our sleeping toddler, dislodge him from his warm cocoon of a stroller, and shove him into the waiting lap of a strange, enormous, grinning, bear of a man. Parents of the YEAR, right?

As you can see, Levi was less than thrilled with flesh-and-blood version of the man we had been talking up for the past month.
