Our little man is a officially mobile. Started out as a kind of shuffle--he used one leg to push off, and the other worked at moving forward, so the result looked something like a quasimodo crawl...it was hilarious, and he couldn't actually move very fast so we felt like we were still safe..kevin and i knew we had to get moving on the baby-proofing, but we still had time--plenty of time right?.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha....ladies and gentleman, the time has passed. the simplest way to put it is that Levi is ALL over the place...one minute he is at the end of the living room, the next he's made it all the way to the TV, pulled himself up the stand, and is babbling gleefully, while simultaneously burning his young retinas from the glare of the enormous flat screen grandpere gifted us with not so long ago(thanks dad--we really do love it!)so...flat screen is now attached to the wall, and even an earthquake couldn't bring that sucker down (thanks grandpop!).
No longer can I race up the stairs for a quick bathroom break and expect the little one to be in the same spot, playing oh so nicely with his blocks. I can't even put him on the bathroom floor without some disasterous attempt on his part to open up every cabinet and explore.
and the "quasimodo crawl"..gone...disappeared, replaced with a full-on crawl that has miraculously gone from "haha, look he's trying to crawl..." to "what the hell, was that a baby?!?...no levi wait, don't touch that...NO!!!".
when did this happen? where did my infant go? when did this baby take his place?
what seemingly harmless household object will need to be replaced/removed/redesigned next in order to avoid pain/injury?
Any bets?
Levi is 8 months tomorrow!

Okay I'll be your worse-case scenario consultant next weekend. You've already got safety plugs in all the open electrical outlets, right?
